SUMMARY:3rd International Palaeoarc Conference
DESCRIPTION:Processes and Palaeo-environmental changes in the Arctic: from past to present \nRegistration is now open for the 3rd PalaeoArc International Conference 23-26 August\, Rovaniemi\, Finland. Deadline for the abstract submission is 8th July (notification of acceptance 18th July latest) and final registration day is 31st July. Fees are 250 € for professionals and 150 € for students. \nFurthermore\, we are also organizing pre-Conference Field course for students at 21-22 Aug. Focus of the field course is on glacial geology and morphology as well as sedimentology in the central part of the last Weichselian glaciation\, in the southern Finnish Lapland. The maximum number of places in the field course is 15 and PhD students are preferred. Places will be fulfilled according to the registration order. DESCRIPTION:The School of GeoSciences at the University of Edinburgh is delighted to be hosting a joint meeting of the International Glaciological Society British Branch (IGSBB) and the UK Antarctic Science Conference (UKASC) during Tuesday 30 August to Friday 2 September 2022 \n\nThe IGSBB is an informal two-day meeting at which presentations are welcome on all aspects of ice and snow research\, while the UKASC welcomes contributions on any aspect of Antarctic Science. We strongly encourage early-career researchers\, including postgraduate students\, to attend and present their work.
