SUMMARY:Analytical Paleobiology School 2025
DESCRIPTION:Our 3-week school aims to introduce graduate students (preferably PhD candidates\, masters with exception) to a range of analytical methods that are foundational to or at the cutting edge of paleobiological research. Topics\, taught by rotating expert instructors\, will include e.g.\, probability theory\, maximum likelihood and Bayesian methods\, resampling techniques\, correlation and regression\, multivariate statistics\, methods of measuring biodiversity\, morphometrics\, phylogenetic methods\, spatial and time-series analyses and other related topics. The school will also provide practical hands-on training in statistical programming and data analysis and visualization in R.

SUMMARY:15th International Conference on Palaeoceanography
DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to welcome you to Bengaluru (India) for the 15th International Conference on Palaeoceanography (ICP15) . We are looking forward to hearing about your latest research on past ocean\, climate and Earth System processes over a range of timescales. Both proxy- and modelling-based approaches are welcome. The aim of the conference is to gain a better understanding of how our oceans and climate have evolved in the past\, what are the drivers of those changes and their relevance to future changes\, how those drivers of change have operated\, interacted and influenced the past climate and how novel approaches are being developed and applied to unravel process-based knowledge to contribute to the future climate predictions. We welcome world experts and newcomers in the field of Palaeoceanography. For the newcomers\, this is a unique conference that occurs every 3-4 years and voted by the members of the community to become a host. You will have an opportunity to showcase your science and select the next ICP host during the conference. This conference provides an opportunity to present and debate ground-breaking new observations while creating a friendly environment for fostering discussions of pressing challenges and new scientific discoveries.

SUMMARY:Sea Level and Coastal Change Conference (SLaCC)
DESCRIPTION:We invite abstract submissions via this Google Form (deadline 15th August) on any aspect of coastal and sea-level research including palaeo sea level\, coastal geomorphology\, blue carbon\, extreme waves\, contemporary processes\, management and more. Presentations from postgraduate and early career researchers are particularly welcome. A supportive and welcoming environment will make the conference an ideal opportunity for both first-time presenters and more experienced academics and practitioners to share their work and connect with others in the field.
