DESCRIPTION:The GEOTRACES Summer School 2025 will take place from 17 to 21 November 2025 in Cape Town\, South Africa. It will provide training in marine biogeochemistry of trace elements and their isotopes for 36 students. Applications are open to Master\, PhD and postdoctoral researchers. \nThe training will include a combination of lectures\, practicals\, and field work\, all led by 15 international GEOTRACES experts.

DESCRIPTION:Learn from world-leading experts and gain practical experience in luminescence dating. \nLed by experts Professor Helen Roberts and Professor Geoff Duller\, this course will be based in the Aberystwyth Luminescence Research Laboratory (ALRL) which has been at the forefront of research into luminescence dating for 30 years and is one of the best equipped facilities in the world. Over five days\, you will gain an insight into the different approaches that are possible with this rapidly developing family of techniques which are widely used in geological and archaeological studies around the world. The knowledge gained will allow you to plan your own luminescence projects and assess published data.
