During the 33rd Nordic Geological Winter Meeting in Copenhagen, January 10-12, 2018 an open meeting was held to discuss the future of NORDQUA.
The present leader, Niko Putkinen (GTK) and the secretary Outi Hyttinen (GTK/University of Helsinki) stepped down, and a decision was made to dissolve the national representatives for more streamlined communication with members.
Anna Hughes (University of Bergen & Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research), Ívar Örn Benediktsson (University of Iceland), Matthew Owen (Geological Survey of Denmark & Greenland) and Carl Regéll (University of Bergen & Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research) volunteered to form a new secretariat team.
We thank Niko and Outi for their leadership of NORDQUA through the last two years, and also the country representatives for all their efforts since the re-initiation of NORDQUA in 2014.
