Tectonically-active, in the 'Roaring 40s' and geologically-young, Aotearoa New Zealand offers world-class geomorphology with some of the world’s fastest rates of uplift and erosion.

ISMIP7 is the Ice Sheet Model Intercomparison Project for CMIP7 (pronounced `IZ-mip`) Melt of Earth's ice sheets is already contributing to flooding experienced by coastal communities, globally. ISMIP7 uses computer simulations of ice sheet change (i.e., ice sheet modeling) to project future contributions to flooding by modeling how the ice sheets will lose or gain ice under the different […]

The International Glaciological Society will hold an International Symposium on ‘Interactions of Glaciers and Ice Sheets with the Ocean’ – a subject of growing urgency and scientific relevance as ocean-driven mass loss continues to dominate the evolution of the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets. Scripps Institution of Oceanography is an ideal location for this symposium, […]

The SCAR Open Science Conference is where the Antarctic research community comes together. Join colleagues and friends in Oslo for an exciting programme of talks, workshops, and social events that celebrate our shared passion for understanding the Antarctic region.

Our 3-week school aims to introduce graduate students (preferably PhD candidates, masters with exception) to a range of analytical methods that are foundational to or at the cutting edge of paleobiological research.

The workshop will be a collegial meeting for glacier modellers and users working at regional to global scales. It will include a dedicated session providing an update on the 4th phase of the Glacier Model Intercomparison Project (GlacierMIP4) and will also mark the 10th anniversary of the first OGGM workshop in the same location, which […]

The “International Conference for YOUNG Marine Researchers – ICYMARE” is organized voluntarily by and for young marine researchers.
