We remind you that the abstract deadline is approaching for the 4th International PalaeoArc Conference in Akureyri, north Iceland, 27-30th August, which will directly precede the 2023 NORDQUA excursion 31st August – 2nd September.

The Abstract submission deadline is March 1st [now extended to March 15th]. Submit your abstract here.
Registration for both the PalaeoArc conference and the NORDQUA excursion will open April 1st with an early-bird deadline mid-May.

We also remind you of these important notes:

  1. Iceland, including Akureyri, is a popular tourist destination. We strongly encourage those who plan to attend to book their accommodations early. The post-conference NORDQUA excursion will be run as three day-trips from Akureyri so that participants don’t need to change accommodation if attending both parts of the joint event.
  2. The timing of the joint event is set to fit the timing of direct flights with Niceair from Copenhagen to Akureyri (27th and 31st August and 3rd September). We recommend those who need connecting flights to consider this option. A round-trip deal at 290EUR is offered through this link: https://cph-aey.niceair.is/

For more information (including travel and accommodation), please visit the webpage for the PalaeoArc conference and the NORDQUA excursion: https://www.palaeoarc-nordqua2023.is/.
Please, spread the word to your colleagues and students.

We look forward to seeing you in Akureyri!
